Ingredients
Steaks
500 g ground beef
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Onion Gravy
2 tablespoons butter or oil
1 large onion (sliced)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape the mixture into oval patties.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add butter or oil and sauté the sliced onions until soft and lightly caramelized.
Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir well to coat. Cook briefly until lightly browned.
Gradually whisk in the beef broth, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper to the gravy.
Return the patties to the skillet, spooning gravy over them.
Cover and simmer until the patties are fully cooked and tender.
