baked casserole made with croissant dough, ground beef, and cheese

Ingredients:

1 pound (450g) ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite blend)

2 tubes of crescent roll dough (or croissant dough)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons butter (optional, for brushing on top)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Filling:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the diced onion and cook until softened.

Season the beef mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well and remove from heat. Set aside to cool slightly.

2. Assemble the Rolls:

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.

Place a spoonful of the cooked beef mixture onto the wider end of each triangle.

Sprinkle some shredded cheese over the beef.

Roll the dough from the wider end toward the tip, forming a crescent shape.

3. Bake:

Arrange the rolled crescents in a greased baking dish.

Sprinkle additional cheese over the top for extra cheesiness.

Brush melted butter over the rolls for a golden, shiny finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and fully cooked.

4. Serve:

Let cool for a few minutes before serving. This dish pairs well with a side salad or a dipping sauce like marinara or ranch.
